OUR PHOTOGRAPHER
Club Photographer Frank Jeppesen
Frank has worked as layout man and graphic designer at newspapers for many years, but didn’t take up photography until six years ago when he started taking photos of his children playing football for the family album.
That soon developed into photographing all players of the beautiful game. Frank’s photos have featured in Northland newspapers for several years and often tell a story more complete than a long newspaper report.
Frank is now working freelance for newspapers and magazines, but still does the photography for Kerikeri Football Club as a hobby. He also writes the weekly football column “The Beautiful Game” in The Bay Report.
The most difficult football picture to take? “Well,” says Frank, “I’ve got very few photos of players celebrating a goal. That’s because when they score I get as excited as them and forget all about taking photos.”
